Sophie

It was just so sudden, ground shaking, heart racing as I reached my arm out gripping my sister’s hand then suddenly the roof caved in.

I woke up in the arms of a stranger, vision blurry voices scurry. Slowly I opened my eyes, his arms tightly wrapped around my body, the warmth of his gloves protecting my face from the rubble. He gently removes his hands from my face, opening my eyes with fear. I suddenly see the damage of what the earthquake did.

Buildings crumbled, rubble everywhere, glass shattered. Bodies lying lifeless on the soil. The smell of blood and dust. Sounds of voices scurry to assist people in the rubble.

The stranger put me down. He told me he’ll be back, frantically looking for my sister and asking others where she is. When the stranger came back he asked about my sister. I said: she was wearing a flower dress white socks, red boots and red and white pants. And I mentioned my father. He was wearing black poker dot shirt black track pants. He then asked about what they looked like, I responded with: white man brown hair blue eyes. And my sister looks like me, but with blonde hair. I fainted again.

This is me
